DUTIES INCLUDE
- Make customer service/collection phone calls to ensure prompt payment of invoices
- Review and post customer payments to the A/R system
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Investigate/resolve billing discrepancies
- Post customer returns and adjustment credits
- Print and mail daily invoices and monthly account statements
- Process new credit applications, request trade references, and D&B reports
- Coordinate with Sales Representatives in regard to the status of credit applications
- Organize and maintain complete customer credit files in our database as well as hard copy files
- Work on special projects as directed by the A/R Manager and perform other tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, and credit required
- Must be proactive, a quick learner, and be able to handle competing priorities
- Must have solid computer skills with working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and Outlook; Microsoft Navision/Dynamics experience a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible and a problem solver
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have aptitude for accuracy, detail-oriented, analytical/inquiring mind-set, ability to set priorities, excellent communication skills, and ability to get results creatively
- Ability to make decisions, prioritize, find solutions, and work independently
- Minimum high school diploma required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Work in an environment where there can be medium to loud noise
- Routinely use computer equipment, including monitors, keyboards, etc.
- Frequently sit and stand to perform work, visit offices, attend meetings, and put supplies away, pack boxes, or put materials together
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Work flexible/varying schedule to support the team, customers, and deadlines
